Steroid can be understood as testosterone and other anabolic steroids , while SARM is a selective androgen receptor regulator. There is always a clear distinction between these two categories. Why is YK11 able to stand on steroids with one foot and SARM with the other?

 

After Yk11 was developed, it was labeled as SARM in its paper. However, in fact, the molecular structure of Yk11 is the same as the main structure of steroid, so many people who are concerned about Yk11 will have the question: why is a steroid classified as SARM?

Yk11 is classified as SARM because of the way YK11 acts, it is a selective androgen receptor modulator that selectively binds to androgen receptors, not all androgen receptors in the body as anabolic steroids do, so YK11 is a true SARM.

Although SARM has few side effects, the anabolic ability of SARM is usually lower than that of testosterone and other anabolic steroids, which is partly related to the influence of SARM structure. Yk11 is SARM, but it has the basic chemical structure and skeleton of anabolic steroids. When SARM selectively binds to androgen receptors, it also has a certain anabolic steroid effect, which makes YK11 play a greater role.

  1. Yk11 is more androgenic. Androgen promotes protein synthesis and muscle development, inhibits the increase of body fat, stimulates the generation of red blood cells and bone growth, and plays an important role in the human body.
  2. The synthesis and metabolism of Yk11 is higher. High anabolism is beneficial to protein synthesis, fat consumption, etc. In the test of muscle cells, it was found that the muscle cells exposed to 500nmol of yk11 and DHT, respectively, the muscle cells treated with yk11 produced more powerful anabolic capacity.
  3. Yk11 inhibited DHT activity. We know that free testosterone in the body is reduced to DHT by 5-A reductase, which may lead to gynecomastia and hair loss. Yk11 inhibited the activity of DHT, alleviating the side effects of DHT to a certain extent.

In this way, YK11 appears to combine the function of sarm and steroid. So YK11 is a new type of SARM.

Bodybuilder used SARM as Bodybuilding Supplements much later than anabolic steroids. While some early Bodybuilders still use anabolic steroids, SARM emerged as a result of the development of biotechnology.
